Kenny Barnes
DJ & Event Director
A Richmond native, Kenny has been somehow involved in music and entertainment for nearly his entire life. Starting out on piano, and rounding through guitar, bass, you name it, Kenny’s career included several bands, tours, and even music production.
His natural dexterity for the music and the stage allowed him to master the art of the DJ while living several years in Los Angeles back in 2015.
After moving back to the East Coast, Kenny tucked hundreds of events under his belt at clubs, private events, and weddings in the Central Virginia area, with a few occasional West Coast visits again.
With this journey, Kenny has leaned into every nook and cranny of the entertainment and wedding industry to become our Director here at Unite, and looks forward to booking and coordinating your special event!
Joe Claravall
DJ & MC
Joe used to be a big city kinda guy until he met his now-wife at one of his many popular NYC Nightclub DJ residencies. Starting out his career circa 2005, Joe developed those party-rocking skills up north and then transferred them to Richmond, Virginia for love.
Shortly after moving to Virginia, he became a Mixshow DJ for Richmond’s former Top 40 Station HOT 100.9, took residency in several local nightclubs and bars, and of course was asked by many of his guests to DJ their weddings!
Joe’s talents have brought him to DJ in many major cities, for guests & clients from all over the world. These days, Joe has found a happy balance of life at home with his wife, 5-year-old son, and two cute dogs, while still rocking weddings and clubs across the Mid-Atlantic.
Joe can bring the high energy and experience you’re looking for!
John Hulley

Let us tell you about John Hulley!
John has accolades as a trombonist, guitarist, and DJ, having hailed from the Virginia Commonwealth’s Music Program.
He is a permanent member of Richmond’s very own No BS! Brass band, all while performing and composing at the helm of a 13 piece modern jazz ensemble called Brunswick, another Richmond favorite. John is also a touring member of not one but two national acts, Bon Iver and Sufjan Stevens.
As a DJ, John has a resume full of clubs and lively weddings, bouncing between his hard drives and his collection of vintage funk vinyl. He takes inspiration from DJ greats, Rob Swift, Jazzy Jeff, A-Trak, and so on.
A fan of hosting Trivia and Blingo, John Hulley loves his mic time, so with all this combined, you and your guests are in for a memorable experience!

With years of experience under his belt, Neil has become a master of blending different genres and creating a unique sound that keeps the crowd moving. His passion for music and dedication to his craft has earned him a reputation as one of the most versatile DJs in the Richmond and surrounding areas. From Oldies to EDM, Neil knows how to read the crowd and deliver a performance that leaves everyone wanting more.
